Sail Transport Network – How Green is This?!

As we look toward a more sustainable future, there’s plenty of room for creative ventures of all kinds. On the local/sustainable/carbon neutral front, you can’t get much more green than this: organic, local and delivered by sailboat. On January 4th, a sailboat delivered fresh organic produce from three local Western Washington farms right to Seattle’s Shilshole Bay Marina’s public dock. This event was the first of several petrol-free, sustainable transport activities planned for the future by a stalwart group of eco-sailors known as the Sail Transport Network.
